Prof. Aharon Gedanken is an Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, and an internationally recognized scientist in the fields of physical chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, polymers, surface chemistry, and energy-related materials. With a distinguished academic and research career spanning more than five decades, he has made significant contributions to sonochemistry, nanomaterials synthesis, advanced functional materials, and chemical technologies. Prof. Gedanken earned his B.Sc. (Magna Cum Laude) and M.Sc. degrees from Bar-Ilan University before completing his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Tel Aviv University in 1972 under the supervision of Prof. Joshua Jortner. His doctoral research on the electronic excitation of impurity states in solid rare gases received the prestigious Landau Prize for Scientific Research. Following his Ph.D., he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Southern California and subsequently held research appointments at renowned institutions, including Bell Laboratories (USA), Drexel University, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), DESY (Germany), BESSY (Germany), and City University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Indra Neel Pulidindi works as an assistant professor at Saveetha Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) & Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMTS), Thandalam, Chennai, India. He serves as a Scientific Consultant at JSCIAR, India. He has also been rendering his services as a Visiting Professor at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, in the research group of Professor Sabu Thomas. His specialisation lies in Composites (CFRPs), Biofuels and Biochemicals, Catalysis, Fuel Cells, Carbon materials and Heteropoly Acids. He has published 78 research papers, 7 books, 14 book chapters and secured a patent (6 patents filed). He has guided several PhD, Master's and Undergraduate students. Given his vast teaching and research experience, Dr. Neel looks forward to adding value to esteemed institution, namely, SMCH and SIMTS where he is currently employed.
