Fees & Waivers

Confmeets is committed to advancing scholarly communication through a transparent, ethical, and accessible open-access publishing model. To support the editorial, production, publication, and long-term preservation of scholarly content, Article Processing Charges (APCs) may apply to accepted manuscripts.

Our fee structure is designed to ensure the sustainability of high-quality publishing services while promoting broad accessibility and equitable participation in academic research. Editorial decisions are made independently and are never influenced by an author's ability to pay publication fees.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Article Processing Charges (APCs) are applicable only after a manuscript has successfully completed editorial assessment, peer review, and has been formally accepted for publication.

The applicable APC for each journal, article type, or author category is outlined below.

APC Structure:

Issue type EUR USD GBP
Regular Issue € 1199

What the APC Covers

The APC supports a wide range of publishing services that contribute to the quality, visibility, accessibility, and preservation of scholarly research.

Publication fees help support:

  • Editorial administration and manuscript management.
  • Technical screening and quality assessment.
  • Peer-review coordination and reviewer management.
  • Production and publication workflows.
  • Copyediting and content preparation.
  • Typesetting and article formatting.
  • DOI registration and metadata creation.
  • Online hosting and platform maintenance.
  • Digital dissemination and discoverability support.
  • Long-term archiving and preservation of scholarly content.

These services ensure that accepted articles are professionally published, permanently accessible, and discoverable by the global research community.

Open Access Benefits

Confmeets follows an open-access publishing model that allows readers worldwide to access published research without subscription barriers.

Open access publishing helps:

  • Increase research visibility and readership.
  • Promote global knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Support educational and professional development.
  • Improve accessibility for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the public.
  • Enhance the potential reach and impact of scholarly work.

All published content remains freely accessible to readers immediately upon publication.

No Submission or Review Fees

Confmeets does not charge authors for:

  • Manuscript submission.
  • Initial editorial screening.
  • Technical compliance checks.
  • Peer-review evaluation.
  • Editorial decision-making.

Publication charges are only considered after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Authors may submit their work for editorial and peer-review consideration without any upfront payment obligations.

Supplementary Materials and Additional Content

Confmeets encourages authors to support transparency and reproducibility by providing supplementary materials when appropriate.

In most cases, no additional fees are charged for:

  • Supplementary datasets.
  • Additional figures and tables.
  • Multimedia files.
  • Data availability statements.
  • Supporting information files.
  • Research protocols and appendices.

Supplementary materials should be relevant, properly organized, and clearly referenced within the manuscript.

Waiver and Discount Program

Confmeets recognizes that publication fees may present challenges for some researchers and institutions. To support equitable access to scholarly publishing, eligible authors may request fee waivers or publication discounts.

Waiver and discount requests are reviewed confidentially, fairly, and independently of editorial decision-making.

Submission, peer review, and editorial assessment are conducted without consideration of an author's financial circumstances.

Eligibility for Fee Waivers

Waiver requests may be considered for authors who:

Limited or No Research Funding

  • Researchers who do not have access to external grants, institutional funding, or publication support programs.

Resource-Constrained Institutions

  • Authors affiliated with institutions that have limited research or publishing budgets.

Early-Career Researchers

  • Students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career investigators who may face financial barriers to publication.

Exceptional Financial Circumstances

  • Authors experiencing significant financial constraints may request special consideration.

Institutional Partnerships and Agreements

  • Authors affiliated with institutions that maintain publication support arrangements with Confmeets may qualify for discounts or other publishing benefits.

Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Waiver Evaluation Process

To ensure consistency and fairness, waiver requests may be evaluated based on:

  • Availability of research funding.
  • Institutional support mechanisms.
  • Author-provided justification.
  • Existing institutional agreements.
  • Publication support programs.

Editorial staff, reviewers, and editors are not involved in waiver evaluations and do not receive information regarding waiver requests during the peer-review process.

The outcome of a waiver request has no impact on editorial decisions.

Institutional Discounts and Publishing Agreements

Confmeets welcomes collaborations with universities, research institutions, academic societies, and scholarly organizations.

Through institutional partnerships, eligible authors may receive:

  • APC discounts.
  • Publication support benefits.
  • Sponsored publication opportunities.
  • Collaborative publishing arrangements.

Authors are encouraged to contact the Editorial Office to determine whether their institution participates in any available publishing support programs.

Regarding available support for publication expenses and APC reimbursement opportunities.

Payment Information

Following acceptance, authors will receive information regarding:

  • Applicable publication charges.
  • Invoice details.
  • Payment instructions.
  • Available payment methods.
  • Payment timelines.

Publication processing and production activities generally commence following payment confirmation or approval of any applicable waiver or discount arrangements.

Refund Policy

  • Publication fees support editorial, production, and publication services that begin after manuscript acceptance.
  • Because resources are allocated throughout the publication process, fees are generally non-refundable once production activities have commenced.
  • Requests for refunds may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis under exceptional circumstances and in accordance with applicable journal policies.

Editorial Independence

Confmeets maintains a strict separation between editorial decision-making and financial processes.

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on:

  • Scientific merit.
  • Originality and significance.
  • Methodological rigor.
  • Relevance to the journal.
  • Compliance with ethical standards.
  • Quality of presentation and reporting.

An author's ability to pay publication charges, funding status, or waiver request does not influence peer review, editorial evaluation, acceptance, or rejection decisions.

This commitment helps ensure fairness, objectivity, and trust in the scholarly publishing process.

Commitment to Inclusive Publishing

Confmeets believes that scholarly publishing should be accessible to researchers regardless of geographic location, institutional resources, or funding availability.

Through transparent publication policies, equitable waiver programs, and responsible open-access practices, we strive to support a diverse and inclusive global research community.

Our goal is to remove barriers to knowledge dissemination while maintaining the highest standards of academic quality and publishing integrity.
