Prof. Dr. habil. habil. habil. Lóránt Dénes Dávid, academician, is an extremely versatile Hungarian scholar. Born in 1968, he graduated in History (MA), Geography (MA), Economics: Catering and Hospitality (BSc), Economist in Business Development (MSc), European Studies and as a Geography-English Technical Translator. He was a scholarship holder in Oxford, Cambridge, London, and Amsterdam. Married, they have 3 sons (16-, 15-, and 11-year-old), wife and children have double citizenships: Hungarian, Romanian. His native language is Hungarian, and he speaks English and some Russian. After earning his PhD degree from the University of Debrecen, Hungary in Geography (Earth Sciences) in 2001, he completed the habilitation processes in 3 disciplines Management and Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, and Regional Sciences – probably the only person in the world to do this. He has become an internationally recognized researcher and professor in the fields of geography and tourism, and holds full-professor positions in Poland, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Hungary. His extensive research has resulted in many prestigious journal articles, studies, papers and books. His work is available in the best-known databases (SCOPUS, Thomson Reuters/Clarivate Analytics). Furthermore, he has developed an exemplary international professional cooperation network, has served as a guest professor at many universities in Europe and overseas (in all continents in a lot of countries, including USA, Russia, Japan), and has also been an active promoter of Hungary's European and oriental relations. As an awardee of the Jean Monnet Professorship (EU Commission), he designed and implemented a major educational program in tourism and regional development. Moreover, he has been very active in editing scholarly journals both in Hungary and abroad. He is an ordinary member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA). He has permanent teaching posts in the John von Neumann University as full professor with full commitment (Kecskemét, Hungary), Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE, former Szent István University) (Gödöllő, Hungary), in part time position in Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest and Szombathely, Hungary), the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz (Bydgoszcz, Poland), Ferenc Rákóczi II. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute/College (Beregovo, Ukraine), Constantine the Philosopher University (Nitra, Slovakia) and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan). He was the chief-secretary of the Hungarian Geographical Society (founded in 1872, 2017-2021). He is a prominent professor in many universities officially. His research fields: tourism, hospitality, geography, earth sciences, economics, environmentalism, regional studies and sciences, sustainable development, circlular economy, bioeconomy, multi-, trans- and interdisciplinary fields. This is Safayet Jamil, who is active in growing his career, active in research work, and innovative. Ablameiko Sergey Vladimirovich, Belarusian, was born in 1956 in Voronovo, Grodno Region. Graduated from BSU in 1978 with a degree in Mathematics. From 1978 to 2008 – at the Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR (since 2002 – United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus): research intern, graduate student, junior researcher, senior researcher, since 1986 – head of laboratory, since 1998 – deputy director, in 2002–2008 – director general. From 2005 to 2012 – Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics of the NAS of Belarus. Simultaneously, since 1989 – associate professor, then professor at BSU (part-time). From October 2008 to September 2017, he served as Rector of the Belarusian State University. Since September 2017, he has been a professor at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at BSU.

In 1984, he defended his candidate's dissertation, and in 1990, his doctoral dissertation. In 1992, he was awarded the academic title of professor. In 2004, he was elected a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and in 2009, an academician.

S. V. Ablameiko is a renowned scientist in the fields of information and space technologies, image processing, and pattern recognition. Under his leadership and with his direct involvement, the theory, methods, and algorithms for processing and recognizing graphic information were developed. The fundamental results obtained in this field have become widely known. On this foundation, a strong scientific school has emerged in Belarus, which has received international recognition. S. V. Ablameiko has made a significant contribution to the development of informatics in the Republic of Belarus. Under his scientific leadership from 2002 to 2008, the SKIF supercomputers, which have received widespread international recognition, were created, Russian-Belarusian space programs were completed, and the first stage of the Belarusian Earth Remote Sensing Space System was created.

He has published over 650 scientific papers, including 25 books and 40 collections of papers edited by him. S. V. Ablameyko's books have been published in the USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, and other countries. Under his supervision and advice, 12 candidate dissertations and three doctoral dissertations were defended.

S. V. Ablameiko was the chairman and co-chairman of more than 50 international conferences held in Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Belarus, and a member of the program committees of more than 150 international conferences. Editor-in-chief of the journals: "Vestsі NAS Belarusi". Gray Physics and Mathematics Sciences (2005–2013), "Bulletin of BSU" (2012–2017), "Informatics" (2004–2010), deputy editor-in-chief of the journal "Higher School" (2009–2017), member of the editorial boards of many international journals published in Europe, the USA, and Russia.

He was a member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2005-2018), the Presidium of the Republican Council of Rectors (2008-2017), the Presidium of the Eurasian Association of Universities (2008-2017), the Board of the Ministry of Education (2015-2018), Chairman of the Council of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for Social Support of Gifted Pupils and Students (2014-2017), Vice-President of the Eurasian Association of Universities (2015-2017). Chairman of the Council for the Defense of Doctoral Dissertations at BSU (since 2010).

In 1998, for his significant contribution to the development of image processing theory, S. V. Ablameiko was the first scientist from the CIS and Eastern Europe to be elected a Fellow of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). In 2004–2006, he was Vice-President, and in 2006–2008, First Vice-President of the IAPR. Never before has a scientist from Eastern and Central Europe served on the leadership of this authoritative international association. He was elected a Fellow of the British Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) (1995), Senior Member of the American Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (1995), and Chartered Engineer of the Engineering Council of Europe (2001). Honorary Professor of the Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (2014), Dalian Polytechnic University (China) (2013), Binh Duong University (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) (2014), Belgrade Alpha BK University (Serbia) (2016), Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Belarus) (2012).

He is an academician (full member) of the European Academy (2011), the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky (2012), the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2015), the Royal Spanish Academy of Doctors (2009), the European Academy of Economics and Management (2010), the Belarusian Engineering Academy, Minsk (1995), the International Academy of Information Sciences, Information Processes and Technologies, Moscow (1995), the Royal Spanish Academy of Economics and Finance (2016) and a number of other academies.

Scientific Director and Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of a number of state scientific research programs. Scientific Director of the state scientific research program "Informatics and Space" (2011-2015). He was the scientific director of the Russian-Belarusian programs "Cosmos-BR" (2002) (deputy scientific director - 1999-2002), "Cosmos-SG" (2004-2007), "Cosmos-NT" (2008-2010), "SKIF Supercomputers" (2002-2004), "SKIF-Grid" (2007-2010). He was the manager of many international projects under the COPERNICUS, INTAS, ISTC programs. He was deputy scientific director of the work on the creation of a multifunctional space system of the Union State (since 2008).
