Dr. Atteeque Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at SA-CIRBS, International Islamic University Islamabad, and a specialist in synthetic and medicinal organic chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, with part of his doctoral research conducted at the University of Minnesota, USA, under the International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP). His doctoral work focused on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of heterocyclic scaffolds and related compounds. Dr. Ahmed has authored more than 22 peer-reviewed publications (including Q1 and Q2 journals) with a strong record as first author and an h-index of 9. He has also contributed as a route-scouting organic scientist for international pharmaceutical projects and developed green chemistry indicators for process optimization. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as Organic Polymer Chemistry, Retrosynthetic Analysis, and Chemistry of Heterocycles. He is passionate about advancing sustainable synthetic methodologies and mentoring young researchers in drug design and bioactive compound development.
