Biography

Professor Miklas Scholz is an internationally recognised expert in sustainable water engineering, constructed wetlands, sustainable drainage systems, and water resource management. With over 27 years of professional experience in academia and industry, he combines high-level academic research with applied engineering practice.

He has published 11 books and 361 peer-reviewed journal articles across 139 journals. His work has received over 20,000 citations, with an h-index of 70. He is listed among the world’s top 2% scientists.

He has coordinated major European Union projects including WATERAGRI (€7 million) and RainSolutions. His research has directly influenced national and international wetland and drainage system guidelines in Europe and beyond.
