Dr. Min-cheng Tu is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at the College of Coastal Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. in Water Management and Hydrological Science from Texas A&M University and is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Environmental Engineering. His career encompasses both academic research and professional environmental consulting. Dr. Tu’s research interests are centered on the application of spatial science and advanced modeling techniques to environmental challenges. His early work focused on stormwater management and the computer simulation of surface water processes. More recently, he has concentrated on the use of spatial science, including Geographic Information System (GIS), satellite remote sensing, and drone remote sensing to study environmental issues. His published research in peer-reviewed journals such as Water, Air & Soil Pollution and Remote Sensing includes significant contributions to the fields of pollutant modeling, the effects of land reclamation on coastal ecosystems, and the simulation of urban thermal environments.
