Dr Alain Chapel is a senior research director in radiobiology and regenerative medicine at IRSN (France), with over 30 years of leadership in NRBC medical countermeasures, advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), large-animal translational models, and European clinical and defense- funded research. His expertise aligns with NATO and EU strategic priorities in radiological resilience, stem cell therapeutics, secure biomanufacturing, and critical health infrastructure protection.
