INTRODUCTION

It is thought that anxiety disorders affect as many as 301 million people globally and contribute to both global health challenges and disabilities (1). When it becomes excessive, anxiety can appear as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias or social anxiety, among others.
