Manuscript Submission Process
Pre-Submission Preparation
- Confirm that your manuscript is Readiness: Read the journal's instructions for Author on the expected writing style and plagiarism and confirm that your manuscript formats fit into the journal's style and ethical guidelines.
- Collect Required: Have all needed correspondence author details, manuscript metadata, and electronic files available.
Completing the Online Submission Form
Section 1: Journal Confirmation
- In the Journal field, ensure that your submission is not defaulted to any other journals, and verify that Journal of Psychology and Psychiatry (JPPC) is the first and only the journal specified field..
Section 2: Corresponding Author Information
- Title: Exact title as on your manuscript. Keep it concise and descriptive.
- Article Type: Choose one from the dropdown (Research Article, Review Article, Mini Review, Short Communication, Short Commentary, Editorial, Editorial Note, Commentary, Perspective, Opinion, Case Study, Case Reports, Case Series and Special Issue Article). Pick the best fit.
- Issue Type: Regular Issue or Special Issue. If Special Issue, include the Special Issue Title.
- Special Issue Title: If submitting to a special issue, enter its designated title
- Classifications: Select the most relevant subject area from the Classification dropdown. If your topic isn't listed use Suggest Classification.
- Abstract: Paste the full abstract in plain text into the box. The site emphasizes the abstract should be entered as plain text (not only inside the uploaded file) so editors and reviewers can quickly read it.
- Keywords: Provide 3-6 keywords separated by commas to assist indexing and reviewer selection.
- Review Process Type: Choose Regular or Fast Editorial Review (10 days). Select fast only if you accept the accelerated workflow and any related requirements/fees.
Section 3: Manuscript Metadata
- Title: Enter the complete manuscript title as it is shown on the first page of your document. Be clear and concise.
- Article Type: From the extended list, choose the most accurate descriptor of your work (e.g. Research Article, Review, Perspective, and Case Study).
- Issue Type: Select "Regular Issue" or "Special Issue".
- Special Issue Title (Conditional): If applicable, enter the title of the Special Issue to which you are submitting.
- Classifications: Select the primary scientific class that corresponds most closely to the attention of your manuscript.
- Suggest Classification (Optional): If your subject does not satisfy the categories provided above, use this box to suggest a relevant subject area.
- Abstract: Enter the complete text of your abstract into the relevant box. Important: The journal requires the abstract to be entered here as plain text (without formatting, figures, or references) for editors and reviewers to use for immediate access.
- Keywords: Choose 3 to 6 keywords or short phrases that are to the point and relevant to assist in discoverability and reviewer assignment, and set them off by a comma.
- Regular Process:
- Takes the usual peer review period.
- Fast Editorial Review (10 days): Designed for expedited initial decisions. Select this option only if timely publication is critical and you acknowledge any associated terms.
Section 4: Manuscript File Upload
Attach Manuscript File (Required):
- Attach your complete manuscript file through the upload interface.
- The file formats we accept are pdf, doc, or docx.
- The file should not exceed 5 mb. You may compress documents or images to stay within the limit.
- Finally, verify that this is the final version you want to submit for review.
Finalizing and Submission
- Review: Thoroughly review your form for any missing or erroneous details and for any incorrectly completed sections.
- Submit: Press the submit button.
Acknowledgement: Upon successful submission, you will receive an automated email and an on-screen confirmation. The email will contain your manuscript ID please keeps this number safe for any queries in the future.
