Prof. Dr. Serdar Kabataş graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine (Edirne, Turkey) in 1997 and completed his neurosurgical residency in 2003. In 2007, he was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Neural Stem Cells (NSC) at Harvard Medical School. His career has been dedicated to research and clinical applications in regenerative medicine and neurosurgery, with a focus on SCI, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (both pediatric and adult), traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson's, ALS, MS, Alzheimer's), peripheral nerve injuries, intervertebral disc regeneration, brain tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and aneurysm surgery. He has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed international journals with around 1750 citations. His h-index is 24 in google scholar and 20 in web of science.
