Zunaira Khalid is a Ph.D. scholar in Biophysics at Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. She completed her M.Phil. in Zoology from the University of Lahore with research focused on the prevalence and epidemiology of coenurosis in domestic bovids in District Mianwali, Pakistan. Her academic background integrates zoology, molecular biology, and biophysics with a strong focus on biosensor technologies.

She has research expertise in biosensor design, electrochemical biosensing, nanobiosensors, field-effect transistor (FET) biosensors, and point-of-care sensing systems. She has hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, spectroscopy, and bioinformatics tools such as MEGA X, BLAST, and NCBI databases.

She has published in international journals, serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for multiple scientific journals, and actively participates in international conferences and workshops related to biomedical engineering, biosensing, and interdisciplinary technologies.

Dr. Ahmad Basheer is a senior lecturer in science education at the Arab Academic College for Education in Israel – Haifa. He holds several key administrative and academic positions at the college, including Vice President of the College, Dean of Academic Studies and Head of the Department for Continuing Education and Teacher Training. He is also a member of the Appointments Committee and the Academic Council. In addition, he is lectures in the Chemistry Department for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and supervises numerous graduate students.

Dr. Basheer has led various international projects in collaboration with the European Union, most recently serving as the manager of the PRESS Project, which promotes context-based science education for sustainability. He also chaired the Chemistry Department at the college from 2009 to 2019.

He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and a teaching certificate in Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1997–2002) and earned his Ph.D. with distinction in Physical Organic Chemistry from the same university (2007). He completed postdoctoral research in Asymmetric Organic Chemistry at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa (2008–2010). During this time, he received the Excellence in Research Award in Chemistry from the Israel Chemical Society for outstanding Ph.D. students (2007), and a prestigious Shulich Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry, Technion (2008–2010). He was also awarded a research grant from the Mofet Institute for developing curricula in Green Chemistry and Sustainability (2019).

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Basheer has published over 30 articles in international scientific journals, as well as educational publications and local articles in the fields of Chemistry and Science Education. He has participated in leading international science education conferences such as ESERA, ECRICE, and others. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at several European universities in Austria, Germany, Ireland, and beyond.

His main research interests include physical-organic chemistry, asymmetric organic chemistry, education for sustainability, environmental and social justice, green chemistry in education “sustainable chemistry”, context-based teaching and learning in chemistry and science, students’ alternative conceptions and learning difficulties in science, and strategies for diagnosing misconceptions to improve understanding in chemistry.

Javier Santa Cruz Alvarez is an Agricultural Engineer and MSc in Agronomic and Environmental Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparalso, Chile. His work focuses on botany, horticulture, plant physiology, and environmental sciences. He has extensive experience in applied research, environmental consulting, and university teaching across several higher education institutions in Chile. He has collaborated on more than 13 scientific publications and presented over 70 conference papers. His research explores plant ecotoxicology, plant nutrition diagnostics, ethnobotany, and native flora conservation. In addition to academic research, he participates in multidisciplinary projects related to crop nutrition, plant physiology, biodiversity, and phytoremediation

Dr. Abdisalam Yusuf Ali (Hajji) is a medical doctor holding an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery), a Postgraduate Diploma in Tropical Medicine, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and Disease Control. He is a dedicated public health professional and researcher with strong interests in infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and global health. Dr. Hajji has contributed to the development and implementation of national NTD programs, disease prevention strategies, and maternal and public health policies, playing an active role in strengthening community-based health systems. He is deeply passionate about epidemic preparedness, health systems strengthening, and promoting equitable access to healthcare in resource-limited settings. Currently, Dr. Hajji serves as a consultant with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Maternal and Child Health programs in Somalia and Kenya.

Dr. Steluța-Maria Sîngeorzan is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Forestry and Cadastre, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca (USAMV Cluj-Napoca), Romania. She teaches and coordinates activities within the Department of Forestry in courses such as Forest Operations I & II, Wood Processing Technology I & II, and Forest Transport. Her research focuses on sustainable forest management, eco-productive timber harvesting technologies, and modern approaches to wood processing and forest certification. Dr. Sîngeorzan actively participates in national and international research projects related to climate-smart forestry, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable forest resource management. She has published numerous scientific papers and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for international journals in forestry and environmental sciences.

Dr. Bimal Kumar Dora is a Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, India. He is currently working on an Indo-European SPARC-funded project titled “Global Grid: The Future of Earth” in collaboration with international institutions including the University of Liège (Belgium), Technical University of Denmark (Denmark), and CentraleSupélec (France). He has also served as a Visiting Researcher at the Montefiore Institute, University of Liège, Belgium. His research explores global renewable energy integration, optimal power flow, and advanced optimization algorithms for sustainable energy systems. Dr. Dora holds an M.Tech in Control, Power, and Electric Drives from NIT Sikkim, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. With a strong foundation in renewable energy technologies and computational modeling, he has contributed significantly to the development of enhanced optimization frameworks and global electricity interconnection studies.

Alessandra Di Serafino is a biologist with a solid background in life sciences and currently serves as Senior Product Specialist in Genetic Solutions at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Frankfurt. Her academic and professional path encompasses animal, plant, and environmental health, with a particular focus on innovative genotyping solutions and the application of genomic technologies to promote sustainability and food security. Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in scientific project management, strategic innovation, and the establishment of long-term collaborations with both academic and industrial stakeholders. Alessandra’s research interests include interdisciplinary approaches to genetics, public health, and climate change, as well as the role of biotechnology in addressing global challenges. A strong advocate for corporate social responsibility and women’s empowerment in science, she is committed to contributing actively to the international scientific debate and to supporting the dissemination of knowledge across disciplines.

Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Barakat is an Associate Professor of Pure Mathematics at Al-Azhar University (Assiut Branch, Egypt) and currently serves at the Basic Science Department, University College of Al-Wajh, University of Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He earned his Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics (Functional Analysis – Fixed Point Theory) from Al-Azhar University in 2012. With over 14 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Barakat has published numerous papers in high-impact international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. His research focuses on functional analysis, fixed point theory, and the application of fractional calculus to real-world phenomena, including physical, biological, and environmental systems.

Wilbard Kombe is a Professor of Urban Land Management at the Institute of Human Settlements Studies, Tanzania. Kombe received his PhD from the Technical University of Dortmund, (TUD) in Germany and MSc. from the Royal Danish Academy (Copenhagen) in Danmark. His recent research works have focused on urban governance, urban housing, land management and administration; public-private partnership in housing and basic infrastructure services delivery and climate change and urban vulnerability. He has been extensively involved in research activities in several countries in the Sub-Sahara Africa. This includes supervision of research projects and advisory services on land governance, infrastructure services delivery for the urban poor carried. Tanzania, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Ethiopia. Some of these action research activities were funded by the Netherlands Government. He has also carried out research on low-income settlements in several cities such as Johannesburg and Durban. Prof. Kombe has won and led various multi-disciplinary research activities undertaken in collaboration with foreign universities such as the Technical University Dortmund (TUD) Germany; the University College London, Development Planning Unit (DPU); the University of Sussex UK; the University of Manchester, UK and the Human Science Research Council, South Africa. He has also implemented several real-life projects undertaken in Tanzania covering a wide range of subjects. This includes large construction projects on low-income housing and basic infrastructure improvement funded by UNDP, Ford Foundation and ILO in Dar es Salaam. The impact of some of his research works includes direct inputs into national policies He has worked as a consultant for local government authorities (LGAs) and central government ministries. His engagement includes capacity building for local communities and local government staff funded by UNDP. Prof. Kombe has also provided consultancy services to several international organizations to include; the World Bank, UNDP, ILO, Sida, DFID, Norad, Danida, WB and Finnida.

Mr. Yonas Derebe Derso is a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Management at Injibara University, Ethiopia. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Land Resources Management at Nanjing Agricultural University, China. His research focuses on population growth-induced land use and cover change, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, and sustainable land resource utilization. With extensive experience in teaching, research coordination, and community engagement, Mr. Derso has coordinated various institutional research programs and contributed to national and international collaborations, including the USAID Farmer-to-Farmer initiative. His scholarly work has been published in reputed international journals such as Scientific Reports, Ecology and Evolution, PLOS ONE, and Environmental Monitoring and Assessment. He is committed to integrating scientific research with practical conservation strategies to promote environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

Dr. Omer Faruk Bilgin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Horticulture, Siirt University, Turkey. He earned his Ph.D. in Horticulture from Çukurova University, where his doctoral research focused on the development of sex-linked DNA markers and the elucidation of sex chromosome mechanisms in Pistacia lentiscus and Pistacia terebinthus species using next-generation sequencing methods. With a strong background in molecular genetics, fruit breeding, and plant physiology, Dr. Bilgin has extensive research experience from his roles at Selçuk, Çukurova, and Siirt Universities, as well as at the Ministry of Agriculture (TAGEM). He has actively participated in numerous national and international research projects, Erasmus exchange programs, and scientific collaborations with leading European universities and research institutes.

Ahmed Ehab Talat Abdelmounim, Assistant lecturer at Soil Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. PhD Candidate (Soil and Water Conservation), China. I published more than 6 articles in international journals, and participated in many workshops, training courses, and international conferences. My focus on the dynamics of soil and water science is the main part of my work, with a particular focus on the interactions between hydrology and soil physics. My work includes predicting soil water flow using computational tools and mathematical models to forecast intricate soil-water interactions. My objective is to create predictive frameworks that optimize irrigation techniques, guide land-use decisions, and reduce risks erosion.
