Detailed Status Stages

  • Submitted: Successful upload; awaiting initial administrative screening
  • Initial Editorial Screening (Pre-QC): The editorial team assesses scope, formatting, and basic ethical compliance. Desk rejection may occur at this stage.
  • Under Peer Review: The manuscript is with external peer reviewers. The duration of this stage varies by discipline.
  • Reviews Completed: All reviewer reports have been returned and are being evaluated by the handling editor.
  • Decision Pending: The handling editor is formulating a decision based on the reviews and their own assessment.
  • Revision Required: The author is invited to revise the manuscript. A detailed, point-by-point response to all reviewer comments and a marked-up version of the manuscript highlighting changes are required upon resubmission.
  • Accepted / Rejected: Final editorial decision. Accepted manuscripts proceed to production.
  • Copyediting & Typesetting: The manuscript undergoes professional formatting and language editing. Authors subsequently receive galley proofs for final approval.
  • Proofreading: Authors are required to review proofs for minor typesetting errors only; substantive alterations are not permitted at this stage without editorial consent.
  • Published Online: The final version of record is published on the Confmeets Publishing website.
