Dr. Abdisalam Yusuf Ali (Hajji) is a medical doctor holding an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery), a Postgraduate Diploma in Tropical Medicine, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and Disease Control. He is a dedicated public health professional and researcher with strong interests in infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and global health. Dr. Hajji has contributed to the development and implementation of national NTD programs, disease prevention strategies, and maternal and public health policies, playing an active role in strengthening community-based health systems. He is deeply passionate about epidemic preparedness, health systems strengthening, and promoting equitable access to healthcare in resource-limited settings. Currently, Dr. Hajji serves as a consultant with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Maternal and Child Health programs in Somalia and Kenya.
