Biography -

Dr. Eduard Klimentievich Kan was born on August 25, 1969, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He is an accomplished researcher and academic with over two decades of experience in higher education and hydraulic engineering. After graduating from the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute in 1992, he began his career in the construction sector before transitioning into research and academia. He earned his PhD in Hydraulics and Engineering Hydrology in 2003 and later defended his Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc) dissertation in 2025 on improving the efficiency of hydropower equipment. Dr. Kan currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Pumping Stations and Hydroelectric Power Plants, National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.” He has authored more than 50 scientific publications, including monographs and textbooks, and holds an h-index of 10. His research contributes significantly to the development of efficient hydraulic systems and renewable energy applications in Uzbekistan and beyond.
