Born in Nuoro, Italy, in 1988, Dr. Stefania Porcu is a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Physics, University of Cagliari. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Sciences from the University of Cagliari and later completed her Ph.D. in Physics, focusing on carbon nitride materials for photocatalytic and photonic applications. During her doctoral studies, she carried out research at the University of Notre Dame (USA) and the University of Ulm (Germany), where she specialized in photocatalysis, electrochemistry, and nanomaterials. Dr. Porcu has collaborated on several national and international research projects, including CUBER, PRIN-2017 CANDLE², and NG-Light, among others. She has also organized and participated in multiple international conferences such as E-MRS, TECHNART, and MetroArchaeo. Her research focuses on applied physics, particularly photocatalysis for environmental remediation and cultural heritage conservation. She is the co-author of 35 publications indexed in ISI/Scopus and holds two patents, including one for an additive for photocatalytic paints. She also serves as a Guest Editor and Topical Advisory Panel Member for Polymers (MDPI Journal).
