Biography

Dr. Yu Cong is an assistant professor at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She specializes in plant physiological ecology, with a focus on alpine treeline dynamics and wetland vegetation responses to climate change. Dr. Cong has led multiple national research projects and published over a dozen peer-reviewed papers in international journals such as Tree Physiology and Forest Ecosystems. Her recent work addresses how environmental stressors such as warming and nitrogen deposition affect plant carbon allocation and community structure. She has also contributed to wetland restoration standards and holds patents and software copyrights related to ecosystem modeling.
