Dr. Muhammad Jaffer Ali is an accomplished academic and research scientist specializing in crop genetics, molecular breeding, and high-throughput phenotyping. He earned his Ph.D. in Crop Genetics & Breeding from Nanjing Agricultural University, China, and currently serves as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Sialkot, Pakistan. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Ali has held diverse research and teaching roles, including postdoctoral fellowships and key contributions to national agricultural development projects such as Green Super Rice and the National Oilseed Enhancement Program at NARC, Islamabad. He has supervised numerous graduate students and taught advanced courses in molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology. His research focuses on QTL mapping, GWAS, climate-resilient crop breeding, and SMV resistance in soybean, with several publications in high-impact journals and a book chapter on nanotechnology in sustainable agriculture. Dr. Ali is a recognized member and convener of various academic and ethical research boards, making significant contributions to agricultural innovation and education in Pakistan.
