Biography -

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Salgado de Oliveira and is a specialist in Clinical Analysis and Laboratory Management from the Faculdade de Medicina de Campos dos Goytacazes, with an additional specialization in Hematology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Pathology from the School of Medicine at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). She has extensive experience in public and private clinical laboratories, with notable work at the Antônio Pedro University Hospital (HUAP/UFF) in Niterói, where she served as a biologist in clinical and microbiological laboratory routines. Her professional background includes the execution, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of laboratory tests across multiple areas, with emphasis on Clinical Analysis, Microbiology, and Mycology. From 2020 to 2025, she actively participated in the ASM UFRJ International Student Chapter scientific outreach program. She is currently a member of the Fungal Biophysics Laboratory (LBF) at the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics (UFRJ), where she conducts research on emerging fungal pathogens in mangrove ecosystems under anthropogenic pressure.
