Biography -

Mr. Yonas Derebe Derso is a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Management at Injibara University, Ethiopia. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Land Resources Management at Nanjing Agricultural University, China. His research focuses on population growth-induced land use and cover change, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, and sustainable land resource utilization. With extensive experience in teaching, research coordination, and community engagement, Mr. Derso has coordinated various institutional research programs and contributed to national and international collaborations, including the USAID Farmer-to-Farmer initiative. His scholarly work has been published in reputed international journals such as Scientific Reports, Ecology and Evolution, PLOS ONE, and Environmental Monitoring and Assessment. He is committed to integrating scientific research with practical conservation strategies to promote environmental sustainability and climate resilience.
