Prof. Shamil D. Akhmedov, MD, PhD, is a renowned cardiovascular surgeon and professor at the Cardiology Research Institute, Tomsk National Research Medical Center, Russian Academy of Sciences. With over 40 years of experience, he has significantly contributed to cardiovascular surgery and biomedical innovation. He founded the BRICS-Biomed International Consortium to promote collaborative research among BRICS countries. His research spans cardiac surgery, tissue engineering, and nanotechnology. Prof. Akhmedov has authored more than 250 scientific works and holds multiple patents, actively contributing to global cardiovascular research and development.
