Author Resources

This section provides essential tools and support materials to empower authors in preparing high-quality submissions and navigating the post-acceptance landscape.

Forms & Declarations

Authors are required to access and complete all mandatory submission forms to ensure compliance with publishing standards, ethical guidelines, and authorship transparency.

Required Forms include:

  • Copyright transfer or publication license agreement
  • Detailed authorship contribution statement
  • Conflict of interest disclosure form
  • Informed consent documentation (where applicable)

All forms must be accurately completed and uploaded as separate files during the manuscript submission or revision process, as applicable. Failure to submit the required documentation may lead to delays in editorial evaluation or publication.

Writing Support & Reporting Standards

  • Reporting Guidelines: To enhance the reproducibility and quality of research, we provide links and guidance for field-specific reporting checklists, such as CONSORT for clinical trials, PRISMA for systematic reviews, STROBE for observational studies, CARE for case reports, and ARRIVE for animal research. Submission of a completed checklist is encouraged and may be mandatory for certain study types.
  • Abstract & Keyword Optimization: Our resources include detailed guidance on crafting a powerful, structured abstract that effectively communicates the study's essence. We also offer advice on selecting optimal, controlled-vocabulary keywords (including MeSH terms) to maximize article discoverability in academic databases.
  • Creating Effective Figures & Tables: Access best-practice guides for designing publication-ready visual elements. This includes advice on ensuring figure clarity (e.g., legible axis labels, appropriate color contrast, scalable resolution) and constructing self-contained, editable tables with descriptive captions and explanatory footnotes.
  • Upholding Academic Integrity: Our resources include tutorials on proper paraphrasing, the correct citation of ideas and data, and the judicious use of direct quotations. We strongly recommend authors use reference management software and conduct their own similarity checks using available tools prior to submission to avoid unintentional plagiarism.

Post-Acceptance Support

  • Efficient Proof Corrections: Authors will receive galley proofs for final review and are expected to return all corrections within a stipulated timeframe (typically 48-72 hours). Corrections at this stage should be restricted to typesetting errors; any requests for substantive textual changes require formal approval from the handling editor.
  • Promotion & Dissemination Guidance: Once published, authors are encouraged to actively disseminate their work. We provide resources on effective promotion strategies, including crafting social media posts, writing institutional press releases, creating plain-language summaries for a broader audience, and designing graphical abstracts.
  • Archiving & Self-Archiving Policies: Clear guidelines are provided on our policies regarding self-archiving of accepted manuscripts (the Author's Accepted Manuscript) in institutional repositories or on personal websites, including any applicable embargo periods in alignment with funder requirements.
  • Certificates & Recognition: Confmeets Publishing offers formal certificates of acceptance and publication upon request. We also provide procedures for authors to obtain official reviewer recognition letters to acknowledge their service to the scholarly community.
