Biography
Dr. Susmita Sahoo is an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) and Head of the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at N.V. Patel College of Pure & Applied Sciences, CVM University, Gujarat. With over 21 years of research and 20 years of teaching experience, she has guided multiple PhD scholars and supervised numerous undergraduate dissertations. Her research primarily focuses on plant tissue culture, ethnobotany, conservation of medicinal plants, and sustainable approaches to wastewater and food waste treatment. She has published extensively in reputed journals, authored textbooks in botany and environmental sciences, and contributed chapters in international publications. Dr. Sahoo has also delivered invited talks, chaired sessions at international conferences, and actively participated in community outreach programs related to science education and environmental conservation.
