Dr. Deen Mohammad Deepo received his Ph.D. in Horticulture from Kyungpook National University, South Korea. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Seed Technology, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained his MSc in Genetics and Plant Breeding and BSc in Agriculture from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Dr. Deepo is an early-career researcher specializing in plant breeding and cytogenetics. His research focuses on genetic improvement of crops through advanced breeding strategies and cytogenetic approaches. He has strong expertise in fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), genomic in situ hybridization (GISH), embryo rescue techniques, DNA extraction, and PCR-based molecular analysis. He received the prestigious Brain Korea (BK21) scholarship from the Government of South Korea to pursue his doctoral research at Kyungpook National University (2018–2022). After completing his Ph.D., he continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the same institution. In addition to his research, he actively mentors undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students in research design, data analysis, and scientific writing, and contributes to developing research methodologies and scholarly publications.
